This was a 2D Platformer game.

The things that I would add to this project are:

  1. Levels 1-3
  2. Game menu's modified with information and hardcore mode added along
  3. Hardcore Mode ( No checkpoints and 1 life)

Your proposed modifications sound good just be sure that your new level are unique and if you want the instructions change counted as one of your significant modifications, you do more than just edit the text on the main screen since that is too simple. Also be sure to create the music yourself if you want that counted as a significant modification.
